Steven Makes Things is a one-person product studio run by me, Steven Skoczen.
I make human-focused tools and apps built on a simple idea: the tool we use every day should actually help us. They should respect our time, our attention, and our wallets. The should be useful, not addictive. They shouldn't require a subscription that we'll forget we have for something that would work fine without one. Nothing in our lives should track us, harvest our data, and sell our lives to the highest bidder.
Every product here is built with that in mind: focused, fairly-priced, and designed to solve one problem cleanly - and get you back to your life.
I've been building things on the internet since the 90s. Over the years I've founded and cofounded companies, served as CTO, architect, janitor, and one of those unicorn engineers people say aren't real. I've built and open-sourced real libraries and tools, and created AI reasoning systems that could solve genuinely tough problems. I have started, tried, and failed so many times that he actually gave a TEDx talk about it. I often describe myself as a dozen different people in a trenchcoat; it always feels that way.
I also do AI consulting for nonprofits and social good organizations. If you work with one, and I can help, please get in touch.
Steven Makes Things is a DBA of Ink and Feet, LLC — a Wyoming, US-registered LLC.
